{"id":523,"date":"2010-08-03T12:06:57","date_gmt":"2010-08-03T17:06:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/quiltschenectady.org\/?p=523"},"modified":"2011-07-31T14:16:20","modified_gmt":"2011-07-31T19:16:20","slug":"summer-cooler-sit-n-sew-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/quiltschenectady.org\/?p=523","title":{"rendered":"2010 Summer Cooler Sit N’ Sew"},"content":{"rendered":"Is there a\u00a0better way to spend a hot, humid summer day than in the air conditioned Underground at Proctors stitching away with a bunch of fellow quilters?\u00a0\u00a0 Approximately 15 QUILTS members and friends attended our first annual\u00a0Summer Cooler\u00a0Sit N' Sew.\u00a0\u00a0 Most of the quilters worked on comfort quilts for the Guild's Northeast Kids and Injured Soldiers projects while others used the day to catch up on personal quilting projects.\u00a0\u00a0 New friends were made, lunch was wonderful - whether it was brown bag or from one of the wonderful downtown Schenectady eateries, and the accommodations were perfect.\u00a0 A special thank you goes out to Proctors for\u00a0making sure we had everything\u00a0we needed\u00a0for a fun, productive Sit N' Sew.\r\n\r\n\n\n \t
