December 2012 Guild Meeting
December's monthly meeting was the Guild's Annual Holiday Celebration which featured a trunk show by Lucille Makrin from Cambridge, NY. Lucille shared her life's journey of quilting which began with the Bi-Centennial resurgence of quilting in the mid-70's and continues through the present day. Guild Members were awed by Lucille's potpourri of quilts which ranged from traditional to "artsy." Following the trunk show, a short business meeting was held, attendees shared desserts and finger foods and viewed yet another magnificent Show & Tell of quilts made by our own members. As is a Q.U.I.L.T.S. holiday tradition, guild members brought in donations of hats, mittens and gloves for Northern Rivers Family Services (which includes Northeast Parent and Child and Parsons Child and Family Center) and also donations of personal care items for the women at Family Life Center at the Schenectady City Mission.
