June 2009 Guild Meeting

This was our annual “pot-luck” end of year dinner with absolutely delicious main dishes, salad, appetizers & desserts all made by members. Guild workshop & challenge quilts and blocks were shown this evening. There were crazy quilt blocks from the past Guild year’s embellishment workshop, Kathie Greenwold’s “I can’t bear to cut it” workshop, the year-long mystery quilt challenge, and the “dots & dashes” quilt challenge.

2027 Member Challenge
One of These Things is NOT like the Other
Create three, 10” x 10”, "identical" blocks. The blocks should be identical except for a slight difference in ONE of them. For example, there can be a component that is a different color or fabric or orientation, etc. The difference can be subtle or obvious.
Add a 1” border and then a 2” border.
The outside, finished dimensions, should be 16” high x 36” wide. You
may go over a bit to accommodate a binding.
Member Challenges are due at our end of year meeting on June 3, 2027.
