October 2011 Guild Meeting – Annual Sew-In for Northeast Kids

The October Guild Meeting was the Guild's annual Sew-In for Northeast Kids.  At this meeting, members work together to sew together tops for donation to the Northeast Parent & Child Society.   The sewing began at 4:30 and continued into the evening, with a short break for pizza and a business meeting.   Our new location (First Reformed Church of Scotia) worked out very well, as there was plenty of space and excellent lighting.    There was no Show & Tell at this meeting. Members should make their best attempt to return the completed quilt tops along with backing and binding fabrics by the December 2011 Guild meeting. This will allow the committee time to measure and associate battings so that these quilts can be tied during the February 2012 Tie-In. Annual Sew-In for Northeast Kids:
