Patterns for Donation Quilts

Here are some quick and easy patterns which can be used to make quilts for Northeast Parent and Child or for donation to Injured Soldiers.

Buckeye Beauty 16″ Block - Instructions on how to make a 16″ Buckeye Beauty block. This is a great ’starter block’ from which to grow a quilt. Twelve of these blocks laid out 3 X 4 will make a 48 X 64″ quilt top and that’s without sashing or borders. Pattern does not include yardage for bindgin and backing, which we ask that you include.

Strip Around the World - This is a great scrap quilt for it uses continuous strips of fabric that wrap their way around a center rectangle. You can make this quilt as large as you want. These instructions make a finished top 42″ X 60″ for a little kid quilt. At the end of the instructions, you will find modifications to turn this into a 54″ X 72″ for big kids.
