| Karen Miller, from Red Bird Quilting Company, inspired us with her Wool Penny Appliqué which ranges from the traditional to the whimsical. Her beautiful machine quilting is the frosting on the cake. She generous both with her ideas and her tips. On Friday, members got to work with her at a workshop to make their own creations. February 2019 Guild Meeting

Our February meeting was our annual “Tie-In”. Members tied quilts that will be given to Northern Rivers Family Services for the kids in foster care or residence. It’s a service project that our guild has enjoyed for many years. Special thanks to Gloversville Sewing Center for supporting this project with donations of quilt batting. |

Our January 2019 speaker was Suzi Parron who spoke to us about Barn Quilts and took us on a fascinating photo journey across the country along the Barn Quilt Trail. On Friday, Suzi taught a workshop and many of our members made their own barn quilts to display on their home, garages, camps, barns, or studio walls. As always, the meeting also included members’ Show & Tell. |

We kicked off the holidays with our annual Holiday Celebration. It gave members a chance to mingle, catch-up with other members, and enjoy some holiday treats. The meeting also included members’ Show & Tell, including some holiday projects. |
